Ok, Personally, i think the camp was overally an almost perfect camp.. (I am using alien words, so tell me if u dont understand wth am i talking about.)
Acknowledgement:
I as one of the group leaders has been summoned to attend many briefings and debriefings.. and the teachers-in-charged told us about our erm.. "situation" or "behaviour" (I cant find a better word) during the camp.
They didnt really empathsis on mine, but they talk pretty much on Koh Deng Ling(KDL), your overall leader in charge and clifford, the other in charge. They said that clifford was pretty harsh on the campers and kept punishing them.. Well, personally, i think that Clifford has done the right thing. Not because hes my friend or because he has been good to me, or whatever crap reason u might think of, but i think he deserved to be respected for all he has done. I respect him and look him up as a good leader. ( The following is for campers who r reading my blog) Now, think about it.. think about it.. CaReFuLLy and overlook everything. If it wasnt for him, DO you REALLY think the camp will be successful?? If it wasnt for him, will the campers be sooo "guai" and follow instrcutions the leaders gave?? If it wasnt for him, will everything be in order???? Think about it.. being a leader issnt as easy as anyone of you might think it could be. Someone in the leaders community has to be the "bad guy", take for example, Mr.Sundrum.. hes being the "bad guy" in the school community, he is actually a great guy if you get to know him well.. so yeah get to know him.. erm.. i mean clifford not mr.sundrum... KDL was also another respectable leader. He has great leadership, and we yet so much to learn from him.
Thanks to all leaders, teachers and campers and every other people, I hadn't mentioned, for making this camp a successful one! Thank You!!
( The rest is about what happened during the camp)
Aight, I aint gonna type much cause im sick of typing, i got sooo many people adding me after the camp.. i dont even know who is who.. but ill love it if u could add me somemore.. i lack of contacts.. my old msn got hacked by some mofos.. here goes.. darkalliance1989@hotmail.com
The first day at camp:
We assembled in the parade square at 0715am... for most members, some even came at 0740am.. but its ok.. we dont wanna punish any campers for the first time in camp. So the camp proced to the hike. The great trekking ever in coral!! The Mcrichite reservior hike!! It was supposed to be a 10.5-12 km hike and trekking, but we had shortened to 7km and maybe below. Imagine............................ people complaint about the trekking that they are "SOOOOOO TIRED" when we haven even started the hike -.- . (even after the "appetizing" lunch) The walk up the road is only the appetizer. The real walk only begins when the paved path became a forest-paved path. That was where all the real dangers and thrill begins.. and we got people complaining still.. doesnt matter... and so, we walked through the.. forest and came this extremely steep road.. this is the part where we spent the most time in.. we had to slow down and get all the campers up the road.. and OUCH!!! the chair's wheel rolled over my toes!!! .. sorry.. ok anyway, after we are up the road.. and walked down the hill and we reached this stairs where we had a headcount. everyone present. So we continued down the stairs... and dooooooooowwwnn we went.. up and down and up and down.. and straight.. crap man. I have to say its hella tiring climbing the stairs. BUT IM EVEN MORE SICK TO HEAR.. leader.. can stop? sir, break lah, so tired.. MC, (..im surprised even campers call me that, thanks alot to the leaders lol.. -.-) pleassee man can we stop here.. im sooo tired..... bloody hell..
Ok, so we continued down the bridge and towards more hike into the forest. Next was the walk on the .. platform. we had communication breakdown from there. the people at the back couldnt pass enough information about where to go.. so kenneth and yi chun( the 2 student leaders) had to run all the way in front and up the hill to check out which way to go. (in fact, the pair of them have been running since the start of the hike, good job with ur efforts guys!!) they came back and say that the road was unavailable, but we saw as available, so we walked up. Halfway, they rushed down to us and said it was unavailable. and so we turned back and walked on the wooden platform along the reservior. ( I hope you guys rememeber that). It was a hella long walk.. im not gonna describe that cause the same thing happened...... LEADER IM SO TIRED LEADER CAN WE BREAK HERE?? SIR TIRED AH STOP LEH!!.. ok and so on.. and finally, we reached the break point. We let all the campers off to quench their thirst and refill their bottles. This is where some of the leaders and teahcers came up with this idea of shocking everyone with the walk-back to the starting point. I was shocked at first too, but some other leaders told me it was meant to be a joke. LMAO!! You should see kenneth's face.. aaaahahhahahaha!! ( he didnt know all these until we reached the centre up the hill).. ok we did a little debriefing under the tree. ( the part where kenneth had to do tons of pumpings.) Vulghar mofo lol.. -.-
Ok back we go to the base( the school). Everyone was shagged out on the bus, even me.. the hike took the whole afternoon. In school, we let everyone break for half an hour before dinner started. After dinner, everyone was slow and tired and shagged.. we know, but it doesnt mean they can defy the orders given by the leaders. Kenneth was hella fuming. he knocked everyone down in the parade square, the guys on the left and girls on the right..b ut they didnt do any pumping. just in the pumping position as they had just eaten their dinner.
and night falls, came the movie screening and briefing for the campers in the hall.. the night walk was a succeessful one.. I managed to scare a couple of girls........................ and guys too. lol.
For those who dont know, i was the one who kicked the dustbin on the second floor and fell down dead on the ground. I did many stunts.. because I had to replace some positions left unoccupied.
and lights out .
Second day arrived in the fresh golden rays of heavenly lights shone from the majestic ball of larvery sun. The birds chirped in the trees and the air was fresh. My form of typing is also different from the typing from the first day. (^^^ up there). Aight, so although everything seems so fresh and perfect, the leaders decided to have a good start of the day with the members. A PT! (Physical Training). Second day was a great day. We went for kayaking. The sun was reflecting on my skin, baking me into a walking-chocolate man. I wasn't as chocolate as some other leaders. They were charcoal man. Kayaking was great, it was my first time, don't laugh! I admitted that, but I managed to learn some skills. How to handle the paddle. How to carry the kayak. How to empty a kayak full of seawater. How to detour, stop and go into the kayak. The basics, basically.
This was the real shag man, everyone, and I meant, EVERYONE was shagged out on the bus, besides the bus driver. The leader community allowed half an hour for all the campers to do their own stuffs when we arrived in school.
Everyone waited in anxiety and great excitment for this period to come.
The Barbaque!!
It went pretty good, although some leaders got badly scarred in the process. Yi Chun and Zulfiqhar were the ones who got their hands on fire ( and I really meant, their hands was on FIRE!) and scarred. They sacrifised their hands to refill the empty packages in our body. Let us thank them.
We had a movie screening while the barbaque went on.
Down the queue was the area cleaning. Some campers got punished for sipping drinks into their bottles for own consumptions during the night, but I am not going to mention their names, to avoid humiliation to them.
Lights out!
Third day (the last day):
That was the last day of Adventure Camp 2005, the leaders decided to slack alittle on the discipline of the campers, unfortunately, soe of them took for granted and so, the discipline was tightened again. Sad huh?
We went for a 2.4km jog. It wasn't exactly 2.4km, because we only ran for 2 rounds, but yeah, I doubt 3/4 of the campers can make it anyway.
The breakfast was a refreshing one. We had rice and milo, and after that all was released back into their bunks to pack their stuffs. They reported to the hall and went for area cleaning and debriefing. For the area cleaning, some campers ( Noticed how I keep using the word "some", this is to avoid humiliation to the campers.) have been punished for slacking and watching others pick up the litters on the ground.
After that we released all the campers off for home.
Awards:
Best Campers: Fadzly (Male)
Cassandra (Female)
Good job, hope you can keep it up and I hope other campers can follow them.
( The last part says about what happened after the camp.)
After the camp, the leaders gathered and went to shag at Macdonalds. We had a great time there and the best thing was, my Camp-Wallet stink ( I had currency in it, and I forgot to take the wallet out before I stepped into the sea during kayaking), that triggered the joke around the leaders. Everyone was laughing the hella out of their lungs, as we passed the wallet and made everyone smelled it. haha, bad thing was we didn't take any photos!!
Aight, after that we returned home, and I slept from 3:30pm in the afternoon to 9:30 am this morning. That's shagged, I am still tired now, so Ciaos!!
Thanks for reading
